Last Weekend, Lucy celebrated her 5th(!!!) birthday with an ice cream party:
Even though there were 11 kids at the party, these kids were the only ones left by the time we thought to take a picture:

We also got around to seeing Wormsloe State Park in Savannah this week, which we have been trying to visit for some time:
There are some cool old trees, and the ruins of a fort from the 1700's. The kids mostly liked the sticks.

What is it about kids and sticks? We went for a walk yesterday, and by the time we got home, Ben had about 20 sticks to add to his collection on our porch.

What cute pictures -- and fun comments too. We, too, have collected many enticing walking sticks. Grandpa Peltz used to help us clean them up (dirt, not bark!) and "shellac" some of them (poly coating). The kids still have theirs -- great memories from each stick!
And what clever ideas to be seen from Lucy's Ice Cream Parlor -- good job, Mama!
